KENLY – A 32 year-old woman was arrested after authorities responded to a report of a person slumped over behind the wheel of their car. Deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched Tuesday night around 11 o’clock to the gas pumps at 100 Truck Stop Road near Kenly.
Officers arrived and allegedly found Crystal Elaine Toler of Little Road, Kenly slumped over as the caller had stated. Deputies were able to awaken Toler. She reportedly told deputies she had taken a prescription pill.
Deputies said they seized a number of Xanax pills from Toler but she reportedly told officers she didn’t have a prescription. A small amount of suspected crystal methamphetamine was also located and seized.
Toler was held on a $48,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail after being charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance, two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
