Both the driver and passenger of a car stopped by a Johnston County deputy Tuesday afternoon ended up in jail.
Around 2:40pm, a sheriff’s deputy was on patrol on Narron Road outside of Selma and conducted a traffic stop. Authorities said the driver, 42 year-old Susan Watson Tyler of Simmons Road, Kenly had suspected methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia in her possession.
A passenger, Christopher Keith Moore, 32, of Quarterhorse Road, Princeton allegedly had a Smith & Wesson handgun concealed near his seat. Moore was a convicted felon and not allowed to possession a firearm.
Tyler was charged with possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,500.
Moore was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and carrying a concealed weapon.
