CLAYTON – Two people were sent to the hospital following a two car collision shortly after 11:00am Tuesday. A southbound KIA passenger car drifted across the centerline on Pritchard Road and sideswiped a northbound Mercedes SUV, causing both heavily damaged vehicles to spin around and end up facing opposite directions.
Both drivers were transported to Wake Med with unspecified injuries.
The road was completely shut down for 90 minutes and reopened just after 12:30pm.
Hope they recover well and just saying that there is too much of this sort of accident. Have no idea what caused this, but suggest if someone caught texting or on handheld phone, the penalty should be just as bad as for DWI/DUI.
