Drivers Injured In West Smithfield Collision

Two people were injured in a two vehicle collision on Wilson’s Mills Road near Daughtry Street in West Smithfield.  Smithfield Police, Smithfield Fire and Johnston County EMS responded to accident at 1:46pm Tuesday.

According to a Smithfield Police accident report,  Neysha Isabel Aparicio, 19, of Wilson’s Mills Road, Smithfield was leaving her private driveway in a 2005 Toyota SUV and attempting to make a right turn onto Wilson’s Mills Road when she pulled directly into the path of 2017 Toyota traveling south on Wilson’s Mills Road and driven by Angela Best Allen, 45, of Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton. The front of Allen’s Toyota collided with the front left corner of Aparico’s vehicle.

Aparicio was transported by ambulance to Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield for treatment of minor injuries.  Allen was treated at the scene by EMS for minor injuries but declined transport to the hospital.

Aparicio was cited by Officer J.B. Sittig for an unsafe movement violation and driving without a license.

Both vehicles sustained approximately $10,000 in damages, according to the report.
