A 23 year-old man was apparently surprised to see a Johnston County deputy show up at a Clayton home over-the-weekend.
The officer was attempting to locate a juvenile that had been reported missing. As part of the investigation, the officer went to an address on Barber Mill Road in Clayton around 12:30am Saturday.
When the officer pulled in the driveway, he saw a man and woman who had been standing on the porch run into the home and close the front door.
The deputy went to the rear of the home and detained the male as he attempted to flee out the back door holding a glass mason jar.
Scotty Jeremiha King of Penwood Road, Willow Spring was reportedly caught with the jar reportedly containing 4 grams of marijuana.
King was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. No information was released on the missing juvenile.
