A Dunn man was arrested on heroin trafficking charges Thursday in Johnston County. A state trooper stopped a car reportedly driven by 37 year-old Clarence Junior York of Tilghman Drive, Dunn. York was arrested for driving while impaired, possession of a firearm by a felon, failure to maintain lane control and driving on a revoked license.
While being booked into the Johnston County Jail, 4.5 grams of heroin and 3.5 grams of cocaine was reportedly found in York’s possession. Johnston County deputies charged York with three counts of trafficking heroin, possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, and possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance.
York was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $150,000 secured bond.
