A Smithfield business was broken into early this morning (Monday). Smithfield Police responded to a 1:10am burglar alarm at Security Credit at 1710 S. Brightleaf Boulevard.
Officers discovered forced entry into the business through a broken window. A payment box had been forced open. Police checked the building but did not find anyone inside.
Four Oaks Police responded with a K-9 but were unsuccessful in tracking the suspect or suspects.
Smithfield Police have assigned the break-in to the Investigations Division.
