Facebook Photo Leads To Search, Arrests

A photo of a man allegedly holding a gun on Facebook resulted in the search of a Four Oaks home last week and the arrests of two people.

Eric Scott Little, 23, of the 6500 block of Strickland’s Crossroads Road, a convicted felon, was on probation when someone allegedly saw him holding a handgun in a Facebook photo.

Probation officers requested assistance from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office with a search of his home on May 30th. During the search, a loaded 380 handgun with the serial number removed was reportedly found.  Officers also said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Little was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of methamphetamines, possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, altering a serial number, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony probation violation.  Little was given a $150,000 bond.

A second person at the address, Tiffany Brooke Shepard, 24, was charged with possession of methamphetamines, possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Bail was set at $40,000.
