Fentanyl, Large Amount Of Cash Seized During Interstate 95 Traffic Stop

HARNETT COUNTY – The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office seized a quantity of fentanyl and a large sum of cash during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 95.

At 4:36pm, Sergeant D. Lucas, a member of the Sheriff’s Community Impact Team, stopped a Toyota 4Runner traveling southbound and exceeding the posted work zone speed limit.

After the stop, Harnett County Sheriff’s K-9 Rambo conducted a search and gave a positive indication for the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. Preliminary testing of the pills revealed them to be fentanyl, although they were made to appear as if they were oxycodone. $20,700 in cash was also located.

Angel Ramos-Lopez, age 23, of Northridge, California was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was given a $3,000 bond.

Stephen George Corralejo, age 27, of Simi Valley, Califonia was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, and felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $500,000.

Rebecca Leigh Epstein, age 25, of Northridge, California was charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin by possession and felony trafficking opium or heroin by transportation. Bond was set at $450,000.
