Florida Man Held On First Degree Burglary Charges

CLAYTON – A Florida man was arrested early Thursday for first degree burglary and a domestic violence protective order violation.  At 1:52am, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from a 34 year-old female victim reporting a domestic incident at her home outside the Clayton city limits.

The victim said she heard a noise outside her residence and saw 41 year-old Christopher John Proctor of Shalimar, Florida in her driveway.   The victim had a domestic violence protective order issued against Proctor preventing him from being at her address.

The victim told officers she went outside and asked Proctor to leave. However, he allegedly pushed his way into her home.  The victim then called 911.

Proctor was located about a quarter-mile away from the residence. When he saw deputies he reportedly ran. Officers said they had to tase Proctor with a stun gun before he could be detained.  Proctor was held in the Johnston County Jail.  No injuries were reported.
