A former Johnston County man arrested on Feb. 21st in Florida has been extradited to the Johnston County Jail in Smithfield to stand trial on several charges including a 2015 law known as the revenge porn law.
On February 16th a female victim reported to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office her ex-boyfriend has posted inappropriate photos on social media.
Warrants were obtained for Shawn Taylor Eason, 32, formerly of W. Horne Street, Clayton. Eason, who has an address in Tampa, Florida was located by US Marshals in Hillsborough County, Florida on Feb. 21st and taken into custody. He was returned to Johnston County on Wednesday.
Eason is facing several charges including disclosure of private images, making threatening phone calls to the victim, and violation of a domestic violence protective order. He was also wanted for failing to appear in court on 2017 charges of driving while impaired and driving on a revoked license.
Eason was held in the Johnston County Jail without bail on the domestic violence protective order violation. He was given a $50,000 bond on the additional charges.
