Former Walmart Employee Changed Prices On Merchandise, Police Say

A former employee at Walmart in Clayton has been arrested for felonious larceny. Clayton Police said they responded to Walmart on June 7th and met with store loss prevention personnel.

A loss prevention officer told police that a former employee identified as Gerald Joseph Bailey, 44, of North Great White Way, Clayton was being investigated by Walmart for allegedly changing prices on 27 items and then purchasing those items at a cheaper price.

The price changing occurred over a period of several weeks during April and May of 2021 while Bailey was employed at Walmart.

As a result of evidence collected by Clayton Police, a warrant was obtained for Bailey. He was arrested on June 18th by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and given a $10,000 bond at the Johnston County Jail.

Lmao this bond was this high cause they didn’t have anything else to put on the news drug dealers getting caught and there bond is 10,000 and this is a jet pack that was a child’s in the home and he moved out and it was in storage 😂 dumb charge just how your system works. But believe he was out a hour later and he didn’t walk in stealing anything there’s nothing on a jet pack saying what property it belong to!
