A Johnston County man, his girlfriend and her son were among four people arrested during a narcotics search warrant at a home in the Emit community in northern Johnston County.
Agents with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed the search warrant July 14th at 80 Wayne’s Lane off Highway 39 North. Agents said the residence had been the focus of a one year investigation. Several of the suspects fled on foot when officers arrived with the warrant but they were quickly captured.
Tommy Edward Eatman, 49, and his girlfriend, 52 year-old Frances Bowen Pilkington, along with her son, Stephen Michael Pilkington, 26, all of 80 Wayne’s Lane were arrested. An acquaintance, Kenneth Logan Keen, 31, of Atkinson Mill Road, Selma was also charged.
Agents said the property was a location for the sale and use of illegal narcotics. Approximately 7 grams of methamphetamines, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found.
Tommy Eatman was charged with possession of methamphetamines, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamines, and possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance. Bond was set at $20,000.
Frances Pilkington was charged with possession of methamphetamines, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance. She was held under a $120,000 bond.
Stephen Pilkington was charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Bail was placed at $15,000.
Kenneth Keen was released on a $3,000 bond charged with possession of methamphetamines.
