Four Oaks Bridge Replacement Requires Closure

Temporary road closure begins Sept. 27

FOUR OAKS – Webb Mill Road at Lake Levinson near Four Oaks will close Monday morning, September 27th to allow a new bridge to be built.

The 67-year-old bridge has reached the end of its normal lifespan, becoming functionally obsolete and requiring more maintenance. A contractor will demolish the existing bridge and erect a modern structure.

The detour will send motorists onto Stewart Road, Keen Road and N.C. 96 South.

The new bridge is scheduled to open to traffic in March 2022.
