A Johnston County deputy sheriff arrested a 26 year-old Four Oaks man during a traffic stop on Highway 42 near Interstate 40 in Cleveland.
Around 9:30am Tuesday, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The officer said he observed in plain view a bag of suspected marijuana on the seat.
The driver, Jordan Lee Murray of the 300 block of N. Baker Street, was asked to step out of the vehicle. During a search of Murray’s pockets, 16 small baggies of marijuana were reportedly found.
The marijuana weighed 9.3 grams.
Murray was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $10,000 bond.
