A Four Oaks man has been linked by Johnston County sheriff’s detectives to the theft of lawn equipment. The owner of a Four Oaks lawn care company reported in January 2021 someone had stolen an enclosed trailer containing two riding mowers, power and hand tools valued at $18,476 from a location on Go Cart Road.
Through an investigation, detectives identified Austin Lee Adams, 34, of Go Cart Road as the suspect. Adams was charged on April 5th with felony larceny. He was given a $15,000 secured bond.
Authorities were able to recover one riding mower and the enclosed trailer, however the trailer had been severely damaged.
This bond makes no sense. The bond is less then what the animal stole. Did the Judge purchase the other mower?
