A Four Oaks woman is facing more than a dozen felony charges for fraud-related crimes including identity theft. Mara Shane Wall, 23, of the 1500 block of Black Creek Road, was arrested March 23rd.
Wall is accused of stealing the identity of a 48 year-old Four Oaks woman then using her personal information to apply for multiple online loans. The same victim also reported her credit card was missing.
In an unrelated case, Wall allegedly wrote a $350 check on a closed checking account belonging to her deceased grandmother. In yet another case, she allegedly altered a $25 check written to her by her grandfather to $125.
Wall was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, attempting to obtain property by false pretense, uttering a forged endorsement, larceny, financial card theft, and identity theft. At last report, Wall was being held in the Johnston County Jail on a $464,500 secured bond.
