Four Oaks Woman Facing Fraud Charges

SMITHFIELD – Police in Smithfield have charged a Four Oaks woman with two felony offenses. Tammy Lynn Neumann, 50, of Faith Church Road, was arrested November 22nd for identity theft and attempting to obtain property by false pretenses.

On that day, Neumann reportedly went to Woodforest National Bank inside Walmart and presented the driver’s license of an elderly relative and attempted to obtain a debit card using the victim’s identity. She was not successful in doing so.

Neumann was arrested by police and held on a $50,000 secured bond.
