Four Oaks Woman Gave Fake Name During Traffic Stop, Arrest

SELMA – A Four Oaks woman has been charged with felonious identity theft after she reportedly gave officers a fictitious name during a traffic stop. On August 19th, deputies stopped a car on Creech Church Road at Highway 39. During the traffic stop suspected meth was allegedly found inside a folded $1 bill and a plastic bag. Drug paraphernalia was also located and seized.

A passenger in the car reportedly gave deputies a fake name. The passenger was later identified as Shana Ann Worrells, 34, of Trent Lane, Four Oaks.

Worrells was arrested on the drug offenses. Later she was charged with identity theft after officers learned her real name.
