Friends Of The Public Library To Hold Fall Book Sale

SMITHFIELD – The Friends of the Public Library of Johnston County & Smithfield have announced the dates of their annual Fall Book Sale. The sale will taking place Wednesday, November 12th through Saturday, November 15th in the public library’s second floor Multipurpose Meeting Room at 305 East Market Street in Downtown Smithfield.

This highly anticipated event offers readers of all ages the opportunity to find great books, and other materials, at great prices – all while supporting the public library.

The sale will feature a wide selection of gently used books, including fiction, biographies, nonfiction, children’s books, cookbooks, history, vintage and other media.

All proceeds will directly support the Public Library of Johnston County & Smithfield’s programming, resources, community outreach, and more.

Fall Book Sale Dates and Hours for General Public:
● Thursday, November 13th from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
● Friday, November 14th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
● Saturday, November 15th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Prices are per book on Thursday and Friday, with Saturday being the $15 bag of books shopping day (bag to be provided at the sale). Book sale shoppers will have the option of paying with either cash or card.

Members of the Friends of the Library are invited to an exclusive preview sale on Wednesday, November 12th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Not a member yet? Join at the book sale or stop by the library for a membership application.

The Friends of the Public Library of Johnston County & Smithfield is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the services and resources of the Public Library of Johnston County & Smithfield through fundraising, advocacy, and volunteer efforts.
