Greeting Cards Mailed To Inmate Contained Contraband, JCSO Says

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office says three greeting cards mailed to an inmate contained Suboxone.  The Suboxone was found during a routine check of mail sent to inmates.

Michael Dean Giggey, 31, of Pine Level was in custody awaiting trial on several charges including fleeing to elude arrest and possession of methamphetamine.  Giggey is now facing an additional 12 charges related to the contraband found in the greeting cards.

The investigation into the incident, including who sent the greeting cards, is still ongoing.
