Heroin Labeled As “Coronavirus” Seized During Traffic Stop, Police Say

Selma Police said they seized several small white packets labeled “coronavirus” during a traffic stop on Highway 70-A.  The packets also had a hazardous materials symbol on them.

Officers said the packets were found in the pocket of Demetrius Manuel Padilla, 29, of Kelly Court, Middlesex who was stopped by police on May 12th.

One of the packets reportedly field-tested positive for heroin.  The total weight of the heroin seized was 1.6 grams, police said.

Padilla was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.  He was jailed on a $10,000 secured bond.
