High Speed Car Chase Ends In Farm Field

Bond has been set at $100,000 for a man who reportedly led police on a high speed chase. Around 1:10pm Wednesday, Four Oaks Police attempted to stop a white passenger car in the city limits driven by William Derek Narron, 40, of Four Oaks. Police knew that Narron had a revoked drivers license.

Police said Narron failed to pull over leading officers on a chase down several rural roadways before the suspect drove off the roadway and to the back of a farm field at the corner of Thompson Road and Strickland’s Crossroads Road. Narron tried to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.

Narron was charged with felony fleeing to elude arrest, driving on a revoked license and resisting a public officer. No injuries were reported during the pursuit.

His car was seized under the Run & You’re Done state law.
