CLAYTON – On Tuesday, the Clayton Police Department, along with assistance from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, arrested a husband and wife for multiple felonies after a month long investigation.
Arrests were made of both Corey Jason Webb, 36, and Erica Dawn Webb, 33, as a result of a December 27th shooting incident in the Riverwood community. Also, on Tuesday, Clayton Police investigators executed a search of the couple’s home in the Riverwood neighborhood.
Corey Webb is currently being held in the Johnston County Jail under a $600,000 bond for multiple charges including attempted first degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, assault by strangulation, possession of a firearm by a felon, obstruction of justice, insurance fraud, injury to real property, and injury to personal property.
Erica Webb is being held in the Johnston County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond for obstruction of justice, insurance fraud, and filing a false police report.
