Identification Card Links Suspect To Stolen Golf Cart, JCSO Says

An identification card located on a stolen golf cart helped authorities identify a suspect in the case.  On August 20th, a resident on McNichol Court outside of Clayton reported their Club Car golf cart valued at $3,000 had been stolen.

On December 10th, deputies located the stolen golf cart in a wooded area near Clayton.  An ID card belonging to Dylan Benjamin Hanemann, 21, of Falling Creek Court, Clayton was reportedly found in the golf cart.  Deputies said Hanemann lived less than 1.5 miles away from where the cart had been abandoned.

Following an investigation, Hanemann was arrested December 15th and charged with felony larceny and felony possession of stolen property. He was confined at the Johnston County Jail on an $80,000 secured bond.
