BENSON – A Johnston County deputy happened to be in the right place at the right time. On Monday, April 26th, an officer reportedly witnessed a drug deal in the parking lot of the Food Lion in Benson.
The officer followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Deputies were reportedly able to recover a small amount of suspected cocaine.
Brandon Jermaine Sanders, 35, of Calumet Drive, Raleigh was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance. Sanders was held on a $50,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
