Authorities say that items stolen from a Johnston County business last month were sold to a salvage yard.
On March 14th, employees at Century Group, a concrete manufacturing and retail company, located at 9710 US 70 East, Princeton reported that 12 metal welding stands, 4 forklift adapters and 200 pounds of scrap metal were stolen.
Johnston County sheriff’s detectives said the items were later sold to a Wayne County recycling business as scrap metal.
Jimmy Roger King, 31, of Luby Smith Road, Princeton was charged Friday night with felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretenses and possession of stolen property. King was given a $45,000 bond.
The items were valued at $1,820.
