A routine traffic stop on Monday resulted in the arrest of a Wake County woman on several drug charges.
A Johnston County deputy stopped a car for a traffic violation on Highway 210 near McGee’s Crossroads. After approaching the car, the officer said he detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a search of the car several items of drug paraphernalia were located including a spoon with residue of a white substance, deputies said.
A folded $1 bill was also located. After opening the bill the officer reportedly found 3 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The 3 grams of powder field tested positive for meth.
Christy Marie Coln, 24, of Buckhorn Road, Garner was charged with possession of methamphetamines, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Johnston County Jail and held under a $40,000 bond.
