A dispute between neighbors reportedly over loud music lead to a violent confrontation Wednesday evening in Selma.
A 48 year-old woman told Johnston County deputies she asked her neighbor to turn down the music.
The neighbor, identified as Juanita Jill Dale, 45, of Byrd Road, allegedly told the woman to step to a fence on their property line.
When she did, Dale allegedly grabbed the victim and pulled her over the fence, straddled her and began punching the woman repeatedly in the face. The victim was eventually able to escape and call deputies for help.
Dale was charged by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury. She was given a $25,000 bond.
The victim sustained facial injuries during the assault.
