JCSO: Suspect Stole Cell Phone Left At Store

FOUR OAKS – A Four Oaks woman was arrested November 10th and held on a $10,000 secured bond after being charged with felony larceny.   Billie Jean Snyder, 46, of Faith Church Road was arrested following an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 9th, 2021, a 26 year-old Four Oaks woman mistakenly left her iPhone inside Barefoot’s Country Store at 3295 US Highway 701 South.  She reported it stolen the following day.  Using a tracking app, the stolen phone was allegedly traced to the suspect’s home.

Before officers could make contact with Snyder, the stolen phone was turned in to a manager at McDonald’s in Newton Grove.

The stolen phone was returned to the victim.  Ironically, the victim and suspect live less than a mile apart.
