JCSO: Two Accused Of Stealing $14,809 From Business

KENLY – Two people were arrested for allegedly stealing a large sum of money from a Kenly sweepstakes business. Michael Edward Fenwick Jr., age 32, of Devereaux Street, Goldsboro and Whitney Tiara Taylor, age 25, of W. Morrisey Street, Clinton, were charged with felony larceny and felony conspiracy to commit larceny.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Fenwick and Taylor after responding to The Spot at I-95 on Johnston Parkway Road around 8:38pm Wednesday, Dec. 14.

An employee at the business claimed the suspects, who were customers inside the business, were somehow able to steal $14,809 from a machine. Authorities seized video footage from the business as evidence.

Fenwick and Taylor were held under $40,000 secured bonds.
