A Raleigh woman was arrested by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) around midnight Wednesday after being found slumped over in a vehicle in a business parking lot.
A concerned citizen flagged down a Johnston County sheriff’s deputy on patrol alerting him to the suspicious vehicle parked near the Sheetz convenience store on Highway 50 near Highway 42.
Deputies said they located 29 year-old Jessica Ciarra Taylor of Highway 42 West, Raleigh inside the car. Officers said in plain sight they saw drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
After asking Taylor if she had anything illegal in her possession, she reportedly pulled a small plastic bag out of her bra containing suspected heroin. Taylor allegedly told the officer the drugs did not belong to her, rather she was keeping them for an acquaintance.
Taylor was charged with felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $51,000.
