JoCoReport Viewer Helps Police Identify Suspect

Thanks to a viewer, Selma Police had apprehended a man wanted for thefts at the Selma ABC store and for threatening a store employee during one of the incidents.

An anonymous tip from a viewer helped police identify Travon Rajah Meredith as the man in a surveillance image released in a February 10th news story.  On Thursday, Police Captain W.M. Thomas announced the arrest of Meredith on two counts of shoplifting and one count of communicating threats.  The 24 year-old suspect has an address on West Waddell Street in Selma.

Meredith is accused of stealing liquor from the ABC Store at 103 South Pollock Street.
