A former football standout at Corinth Holders High School was found dead today (Wednesday) in Wisconsin.
Kaelin O’Neal, 18, graduated from Corinth Holders and was in his first semester at Lakeland University in Howards Grove, WI. Kaelin was reported missing on Sunday by a college roommate who last saw him on the Lakeland campus.
On Wednesday, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office announced O’Neal’s body was found in a pond located on the Lakeland University campus. His body was recovered by the Sheboygan County Dive Team. Sergeant Matt Spence said the incident remains under investigation but there is nothing to suggest a criminal act.
O’Neal was a backup quarterback for the Lakeland football team. He had a Zebulon address but lived in northern Johnston County.
