Jonathan Boyce Receives Oath As Smithfield Police Officer

Officer Jonathan Aaron Boyce has been sworn in as a Smithfield police officer. Boyce received his Oath during the March 2nd meeting of the Smithfield Town Council.

Boyce who is from Wilson’s Mills, worked in corporate offices in the Research Triangle area beginning at the age of 19, however he always wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement as a way to give back to his community. Boyce, age 28, completed his Basic Law Enforcement Training in December 2020, and now has that opportunity to serve the citizens of Smithfield.

Officer Boyce has been assigned to the Patrol Division.
