Three people are facing charges after Smithfield Police said they were caught stealing $506.48 in clothing from a business. Police were called to Carters Children’s Wear on Outlet Center Drive at 3:24pm Tuesday to a reported shoplifting.
Police said one suspect was located in a car with 42 clothing items that had just been stolen from the store. The other suspects were found nearby.
Kenosha Monique Wellington, 32, of Wilson was charged with two counts of aiding and abetting larceny and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Bond was set at $1,000.
Jaelon Keon Williams, 17, of Princeton was charged with three counts of aiding and abetting larceny. He was released on a $250 bond.
A 15 year-old suspect was released into the custody of a family member. The minor is facing charges in juvenile court.
