A Kenly woman was arrested this week by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on a felony charge.
The arrest followed an investigation into a residential break-in reported in eastern Wayne County where some of the stolen property was later sold to an area pawn shop.
Kayla Brooke Keating, 28, of Memorial Church Road, Kenly was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses. She was released from custody on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
The investigation into the break-in is ongoing.
