Expired: Kilo Of Cocaine Seized

A large amount of cocaine was seized during a traffic stop and later from a home in Johnston County. Cpiriano Alvear, 32, of Keith Court, Willow Spring was arrested May 15th by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.

Agents said they conducted an undercover operation that resulted in a traffic stop in the 5100 block of Highway 42 West near I-40. Inside the vehicle, officers reportedly found a kilo of cocaine, an additional 27 grams of crack cocaine, a large undisclosed amount of cash and a semi-automatic handgun.

Officers then conducted a search warrant at Alvear’s home and reportedly seized 200 grams of cocaine.

Alvear was charged with three counts of cocaine trafficking, one count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, and one count of possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver cocaine.

Alvear was confined on a $9,999,999 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.

  1. The only surprising part of this arrest is the JOCO court system setting a $9,999,999 secured bond. You don’t see that very often.

  3. It is so refreshing to see this wide scope of educational talent that comes with what is now legal immigration by our Biden administration. Just when we thought the pharmacy schools couldn’t meet the supply our friends from south of the Texas border has stepped it up to make sure our pharmacy needs are safely met.
