Large Amount Of Marijuana, Fake Credit Cards, Credit Card Readers Found During Raid

An investigation covering Johnston and Wake counties resulted in a raid at a home at 108 Sloan Drive in the Riverwood neighborhood in Clayton.

Clayton Police, Raleigh Police and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office jointly executed the search warrant Wednesday following the investigation.

During the search, detectives located and seized 16 pounds of marijuana, an undisclosed amount of cash and prescription pills, along with fraudulent credit cards, radio frequency credit card readers and a machine used to make fraudulent driver’s licenses and credit cards.

Darnell William King, 35, and Tirar Melissa Geter, 32, of Clayton were arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, trafficking opium or heroin, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and six additional charges for possessing counterfeit Instruments.

The defendants were taken to the Johnston County Jail where King’s bond was set at $200,000 and Ms. Geter’s bond was placed at $150,000.
