A Wayne County teenager has been arrested for breaking into a church.
Around 1:15am last Sunday, Nov. 11th, deputies responded to a report of a break-in on Providence Church Road outside of Goldsboro. Wayne County deputies said they found 19 year-old James Colton Taylor of Dudley walking nearby along the roadway. Taylor was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for failing to appear in a Lenoir County courtroom on two traffic offenses.
Deputies later discovered several other crime scenes including a break-in at the Providence United Methodist Church on Providence Church Road.
Taylor is now charged with breaking and entering a place of worship, breaking and entering, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Taylor was confined in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $13,000 secured bond.
