A 43 year-old man has been arrested for the alleged sexual assault of a learning-disabled teenager. Gilberto Espinoza, 43, of Hinnant Edgerton Road, Selma was arrested April 8, 2022 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Espinoza had been under investigation since the incident was first reported on August 15, 2020.
Espinoza is charged with statutory rape of a child, statutory sex offense with a child, indecent liberties with a child, and sexual servitude child victim.
He was incarcerated in the Johnston County Jail in lieu of a $1,070,000 secured bond.

Which means our government allowed the abuse to carry on for 2 years.
