Man Broke Into Child Care Center Vehicle, JCSO Says

ANGIER – Johnston County deputies have charged a man in connection with a break-in earlier this month at a child care center.  On September 3, the owner of Kidsville Child Care Center on Massengill Pond Road, Angier received a call from the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office wanting to know if her license plate had been stolen.

Deputies had stopped a car and the license plate was not registered to the vehicle, instead it belonged to the child care center.  The owner discovered where someone had broken into the company vehicle and removed the license plate, which had been keep inside. 

William Joseph Allen, 46, of Ridge Road, Angier was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen property. He was also served with two outstanding warrants for arrest for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of breaking and entering and failure to work after being paid.

Allen was given a $10,000 bond on the three charges related to the license plate theft. He was given an additional $1,000 bond on the two failure to appear warrants.
