Man Broke Into Same Home 8 Times, JCSO Says

A Johnston County man has been arrested on charges he broke into the same home eight times in as many months.  The suspect allegedly stole thousands of dollars of property from the victim, including their curtains.

Jason Lynn Clifton, 39, of the 300 block of Mill Creek Church Road, Newton Grove is facing eight counts of felony breaking and entering, eight counts of felony larceny, one count of attempted larceny, injury to property, and trespassing.

Clifton is accused of breaking into a vacant home in his neighborhood repeatedly since July 2020.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at Clifton’s home last week and reportedly found a large number of the stolen items in his residence. Clifton was held on a $321,500 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
