SELMA – A Johnston County man who reported someone stole items from his home has now been charged with filing a false police report. Jonathan Forrest Knight, 33, of Deer Ridge Drive, Selma was arrested March 4th by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
On February 6, 2021, Knight filed a report with deputies alleging someone stole $3,400 in items from his home on November 3, 2020. Among the property reported stolen were speakers, blue-ray discs, and power tools.
Through their investigation, deputies said they determined a larceny did not occur.
Knight was given a $40,000 bond on the misdemeanor charge.
I am praying for this man. At one time he was a hardworking, great guy. Drugs have led him down the wrong path.
