Man Charged With Four Oaks Car Break-In

FOUR OAKS – A suspect has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a car two months ago at a southern Johnston County home. Around 5:30am on July 25th, a couple on Thompson Road said they were awakened by someone ringing their door bell.  When they looked outside they saw a man inside their car.

They yelled at the man who exited the car and walked away. Deputies canvassed the area bout could not find the suspect.  The couple reported binoculars valued at $170 had been stolen from the car and a key from another vehicle had been broken off in the ignition.

A detective assigned to the case reportedly identified the suspect as 20 year-old Noan Dalton Manes of Raleigh.  A warrant was obtained for his arrest and on August 29th he was stopped for speeding in Johnston County. He was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant charging him with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

Manes was held on a $10,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
