A Johnston County man is accused of selling a vehicle he knew was stolen.
Last month, a man purchased a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo for $125 for scrap metal. The individual he purchased the vehicle from allegedly told the victim that he had lost the title. After the victim took the vehicle to a local salvage yard to sell, the company determined the Isuzu had been stolen in Carteret County.
Following an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), Harold Mack Nall Jr., 44, of the 1000 block of S. Pleasant-Coates Road, Benson was arrested Thursday night. Nall was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, a felony. He was wanted on several other warrants at the time of his arrest including forgery and possession of stolen property.
Bail was set at $100,000.
