Man Suffers Serious Injury In Kenly Assault

KENLY – A 52 year-old man is recovering from a serious injury after being assaulted with a long aluminum pipe. It happened around 12:35am Monday at an address in the 3900 block of Glendale Road.

Johnston County deputies responded to a disturbance call and reportedly found the victim on the ground bleeding severely from a head injury.

A witness reported the victim was struck from behind with the pipe. The suspect left the scene before law enforcement officers arrived.

The incident was not a random act.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. The assault remains under investigation.

  1. As mama used to say, nothing good goes on after dark. Stay home in the evenings, arm yourselves, go to the range to become proficient, get a conceal carry permit, and be vigilant of your surroundings. We are living in dark times among dark hearts…people have no compassion for human life.

  2. That really narrows it down being its only 1 house in the “3900 block of Glendale road” That’s a very dark stretch of road also

  3. Kenly is a bad place after dark! I worked at the truckstop for 8 years on night shift, and shew the things that happened were crazy! Glad I got out of there. I seen too much and heard too much!
