Two people were arrested on methamphetamine possession charges during a traffic stop.
Around 5:30pm on Saturday, May 25th a Johnston County Sheriff narcotics division officer stopped a car on Highway 301 near Ricks Road in Selma.
During a search of the car, 3.5 grams of suspected meth was located inside a cigarette pack. Both occupants inside the car reportedly denied knowing the meth was inside the vehicle.
Johnny Mack Autry Jr. 42, of the 800 block of Creech Church Road, Kenly and Matthew Kristian Hussey, 33, of the 10900 block of Highway 222 West, Middlesex were charged with one count each of felony methamphetamine possession.
Autry was incarcerated in the Johnston County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond. Hussey was confined under a $5,000 secured bond.
