Mother, Son Linked To Thefts From Fire Damaged Home

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has made a second arrest involving the theft of property stolen from a fire damaged home.

On March 2nd, flames heavily damaged a rental home at 1150 Howell Road near Princeton.  Fire investigators said the blaze was intentionally set and two weeks later a 33 year-old woman – a tenant at the home – was charged with second-degree arson.

Earlier this month, the 75 year-old property owner reported that someone had broken into the fire damaged property and stolen numerous items including a breaker box, copper wiring, appliances, hedge trimmer, and a weed eater with a combined value of $804.

Brandon Michael Boyd, 37, of Long Leaf Road, Princeton was arrested June 19th.  Now his mother, Teresa Westbrook Boyd, 54, of Massey Holt Road, Princeton has been arrested.

Both Brandon and Teresa Boyd are charged with breaking and entering, larceny and felony conspiracy.

Teresa Boyd was jailed under a $132,000 bond. Her son, Brandon, was held under a $70,000 bond.
