Murder Suspect Captured In Georgia

A man wanted for a homicide last month has been captured by U.S. Marshals in Atlanta, Georgia.

On August 26th, Marquise Raheem Norfleet Anderson, 27, was shot at a location on London Church Road near the Nash-Wilson County line.  Anderson died from his injuries.

The Nash County Sheriff’s Office said Darius Nike Taylor of Wilson was developed as a suspect and warrants were obtained for his arrest on September 4th.  Taylor was located by U.S. Marshals in Atlanta on September 13th. He is currently in a Georgia detention center awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation into Anderson’s death was still ongoing.
